The Historic Downtown Plano Association (HDPA) is a 501 (c) 6 organization dedicated to perserving Downtown Plano’s historic character and embracing its future featuring shops, restaurants, living and an urban lifestyle.

Historic Downtown Plano includes area bounded by Avenue G, 18th St., 14th St., and Municipal Avenue. Downtown Plano is located East of 75th, Exit 15th St.

The Historic Downtown Plano Association invites everyone to Downtown Plano and see what we are all about. With unique shops, casual and fine dining, and an assortment of attractions - including Art Galleries, Performance Art Theaters, and the Interurban Railway Museum, Downtown Plano Has it all!

Taste of Downtown plano/
 

The Historic Downtown Plano Association continues the 2009 Special Events Series on October 18th with Taste of Downtown Plano from 12 PM - 6 PM. Activities include Food Samples for Purchase, Wine Tastings, Demonstrations, Vendors, Music, Drinks, and Much More. 

Tickets will be available for purchase during the event. Admission is $5 for Ages 12 and Up; Under 12 get in free. Wristbands will be available for anyone interested in purchasing beer and wine.

The Marketplace will also feature vendors with items for.  For vendor information check out www.visitdowntownplano.com or contact us at hdpa@visitdowntownplano.com.

Our entertainment will include local music artists.   Full Entertainment listings will be available on our website.

The HDPA invites its neighbors and North Texas to come and see what Downtown Plano is all about.  Taste of Downtown Plano promises to be an amazing day of food, entertainment, Family Fun, and Downtown shopping. 2009 has been a successful year with KidsFest in April bringing over 5,000 attendees to Downtown.

The Historic Downtown Plano Association is the Official Association of Downtown Plano.  Members include Downtown Merchants, Building Owners, Friends of Downtown Plano, and Downtown Plano supporters and concerned citizens.  We invite anyone with an interest in Downtown Plano to join us on the First Tuesday of the month at 8:30 AM inside the Plano Chamber of Commerce Offices, 1200 E. 15th St.

PARKING/

15th Street will be closed from Avenue K to Avenue H 6 AM to 8 PM. J Place Parking Lot will also be closed. Parking is available in Downtown through several parking lots and garages. For Downtown Parking Options, click here

Taste of Downtown Plano is part of the The Downtown Plano Special Events series schedule. The first event, KidsFest was held in April during Easter Weekend with attendance at over 5000. In 2010 we will be holding events in March, May, and October.  The Special Events service will include extended hours for merchants, Art Showings, Live Music, Food, Activities, and vendor space.  Restaurants will also be open to serve food and drinks.  Each sponsor package can be custom made.  We also work with In-Kind sponsorships as well.

As a sponsor, your contribution helps: 

  • Purchase ad space on TV, Radio, Print, Web, Direct Mail in the local and state market
  • Purchase of Marketing Materials of the event throughout North Texas and Texas
  • Purchase Advertising week before and week of in local and state publications
